Past O'Reilly Scholars / H Reddy

Mr. Howard Reddy, from Carlow, graduated in May 2005 from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia with a Masters of Music summa magna cum laude. He has performed extensively in opera and concert throughout the United States and Europe. He has performed leading roles for Opera Festival of New Jersey, Opera North, UK, Grange Park Opera, Philadelphia Opera, Curtis Opera Theatre, Chautauqua Opera Festival, Wexford Festival Opera and Music Academy of the West, Santa Barbara among others. He has performed numerous oratorio works, including a concert performance with the Oratorio Society of New York in Carnegie Hall and a performance of the Messiah at York Minster Cathedral. His performance of the role of John in Ned Rorem's opera Miss Julie was released by Albany Records in celebration of Ned Rorem's 85th birthday. Howard performs extensively in concert as a duo with my wife mezzo-soprano, Hanan Tarabay. These performances encompass a broad spectrum of repertoire from symphony gala concerts to recitals. They have recently recorded three tracks with the Prague Philharmonic which are part of a project they hope to launch in 2011. Howard also holds an honours degree in Business & Legal Studies from University College Dublin.
